🖱️ Claude Is Learning to Use Your Computer

Anthropic just launched computer use as a research preview for Pro and Max subscribers on Mac. Claude can now see your screen, click, scroll, and navigate apps like a human sitting at your desk.

It pairs with Dispatch, a new mobile feature that lets you text tasks to your desktop from your phone and come back to finished work.

🛠️ From Chatbot to Desktop Operator

This isn't a gimmick. Claude's OSWorld score has gone from 14.9% when computer use first debuted in late 2024 to 72.5% today, nearly matching human expert performance. On real-world insurance workflows, it hits 94% accuracy navigating legacy portals, filling multi-step forms, and operating software that has no API.

Most competitors aren't close. GPT-5.4 just crossed the human baseline at 75%, but most other models are stuck below 40%.

Anthropic is upfront that this is still a research preview. Prompt injection remains a real threat, since Claude is interacting with live screens and local files.

The company recommends limiting what you give it access to, and Dispatch runs in a sandboxed environment where files stay on your machine. Still, the trajectory is clear: desktop AI agents are no longer theoretical, they’re here to stay.

🪐 Musk Launches the Galactic Terafab Project

Elon Musk has announced Terafab, a massive $25 billion joint venture to revolutionize the global semiconductor supply chain. This collaboration between Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI involves building a massive chip factory in Austin, Texas, designed for rapid iteration.

By bringing design, masks, wafers, and testing under one roof, Musk aims to bypass limitations of traditional manufacturers like TSMC.

🏗️ Vertical Integration From Earth to Orbit

The ambitious project is targeting one terawatt of annual compute power with a heavy focus on space based infrastructure. This joint venture will produce specialized AI5 and AI6 chips for robots like Optimus, alongside space hardened D3 chips for orbital satellites. Musk believes AI in space is economically essential for a growing galactic civilization.

🔮 Powering the Future of Space Based Compute

This Terafab plan is pretty wild: Musk is looking to put data centers in orbit to soak up constant, high-intensity solar power. Along with a new $20B chip venture, the goal is to make SpaceX and Tesla shortage-proof. If it works, we could see mass-produced self-driving cars and humanoid robots as early as 2027.
